BD LSR II

BD LSR IIThis instrument is a multi-parameter cell analyzer. It is operated by users after basic training in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It runs BD FACS DiVa software. It has five lasers with excitation lines at 355nm, 407nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm. It can collect up to 14 fluorescent parameters and two light scatter parmeters. Besides multi-color immunofluorescence it can perform specialty applications such as GFP/YFP/CFP/DsRed analysis, calcium flux measurements with Indo1, Hoechst and DAPI DNA cell cycle, and side population analysis using Hoechst dye.

For detailed information about using the BD LSR II, including preparing samples, see our LSR II user guide. This instrument can be run 24/7 by trained users as per our Policies.

BD LSR Fortessa

ARIA sort chamber This instrument is a multi-parameter cell analyzer. It is operated by users after basic training in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It runs BD FACS DiVa software. It has four lasers with excitation lines at 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm. It can collect up to 13 fluorescent parameters and two light-scatter parameters.

For detailed information about using the BD LSRFortessa, including preparing samples, see our LSRFortessa user guide. This instrument can be run 24/7 by trained users as per our Policies.

Beckman Coulter CytoFLEX

CytoFLEX This instrument is a multi-parameter cell analyzer. It is operated by users after basic training in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It runs CytExpert software. It has four lasers with excitation lines at 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm. It can collect up to 13 fluorescent parameters and two light-scatter parameters.

BD FACSAria II

ARIA sort chamber This instrument is a high-speed cell sorter capable of separating the cells for subsequent assays or culture. It is operated by the FACS lab manager. Like the LSR II, it runs FACS DiVa software. It has five lasers with excitation lines at 355nm, 407nm, 488nm, 561nm, and 640nm. It can collect up to 14 fluorescent parameters. It can sort one to four separate populations simultaneously, or perform single cell sorting into 6, 12, 28, 48 and 96 well plates as well as microscope slides.

For detailed information about preparing samples for the BD FACS Aria II, see our FACS Aria II sample preparation guide. This instrument will be run by the facility manager.
