The 2010 Microbiology & Immunology Annual Retreat
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology will hold its annual retreat on September 16 and 17, 2010 at the Dolce Basking Ridge Conference Center in Basking Ridge, NJ. Additional information is available online (facilities and directions), and there will be buses to and from the venue.

We are grateful that Dr. Thomas Maniatis, the Isidore S. Edelman Professor and Chair of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University will be our guest and will present the keynote lecture. Dr. Maniatis is one of the founders of modern molecular cloning and is a leader in the study of interferon signaling and gene regulation. He was a key author of the seminal text Molecular Cloning: A Laboratory Manual. Dr. Maniatis is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and is the winner of numerous scientific prizes and honors.
All departmental faculty, students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to attend. The retreat begins on Thursday morning and lasts until Friday afternoon. There will be five sessions of 20 minute research talks presented by faculty, and a poster session presented by students and postdoctoral fellows.
